Coola Makeup Setting Spray SPF 30

My latest purchase from sephora.  After neglecting to wear sunscreen while living in Los Angeles for a good part of my twenties… I am always obsessed with finding and wearing sunscreen, even in the winter to prevent further photo damage! I always wear a 50 spf+++ as the last step of my morning sunscreen routine but what about throughout the day?

I think dermatologists say it should be reapplied at least every 4 hours and more often if you are outside in direct sunlight or in humidity sweating a lot!

So I was at sephora during my lunch break to see what my options were for a sunscreen that could be used over makeup throughout the day.

The 2 contenders were super goop and coola. The other spray sunscreens for the face at sephora were not made for over makeup!  Unless you want to appear like a greaseball. Anyhow, I tested the super goop first BUT I think I accidentally got some in my hair!  Think sticky, crunchy, tangled, dry… it was so gross I wanted to run home and wash my hair!

So I was down to my last option – COOLA! Idk if they are marketing it more as a makeup setting spray or as a throughout the day sunscreen for your face that won’t mess up your face… but to date that is the best that I have found to shade me from the terrible effects of the sun’s rays wreaking photo damage havoc on to my already photo damaged skin.

It’s portable enough, you have to shake it prior to use – there is a little ball in there to mix up the product, spray, and go –  I can only pray it is doing a decent job protecting my skin from further photo damage while not looking like I got attacked by a ball of grease.
